Mother's Day

I have the best family which I love very much. I had the best Mother's Day of them all. I think that they just get better. Eric and Reagan went shopping on Saturday to buy my gift. Eric was going to get me a gift certificate to Merle Norman for make-up. When Reagan walked in the lady behind the counter....who knows Reagan...said hi to her and proceeded to give her samples. The owner's daughter and Reagan are weeks apart in age so we know each other. When Reagan came home with lipstick samples I knew where they had been. They also got me popcorn from popcorn junction...which I knew because again we go there alot...they know Rea....they give her samples.

Gavin got me roses that are so pretty. Reagan made me a cake at her school and brought it home with a flower that she also made. It is my first year where Reagan made something. She was very proud of herself. She told Eric when he said they were going shopping that they did not need to because she's got it taken care of at school. How sweet!

Easter 2009

One of my New Year's resolution was to take more pictures, videos of my kids, as well as make a scrapbook of each holiday and birthday for each of the kids. So here are the kids at Easter, the first of the memories.

Mee-Mee buys the kids matching Easter outfits. This year they they were blue and because it was raining all day pictures were done inside this year. The Easter bunny even had to hide the eggs inside.

Dancing and Dentist

Reagan FINALLY had her very first dentist appointment. She was a little nervous and alot excited. I was more terrified that that would say something like...you are a horrible mother because you waited so long to bring her in now she has a cavity in every tooth.

But it turns out we are doing a pretty good job. The dentist said she has pretty teeth and we are doing a good job of brushing...no plaque. And only 1 very small speck of a cavity.

Build a Bear

Reagan has never been to build a bear. I have always wanted to take her but since we live in Tyler there has never been one that we could go to and when I visit home we are to busy seeing friends and family. So I decided when they opened one up in Tyler I would take her....but she has had a hard time being four...she is sassy, a little bossy and just 4. So we gave her a reward chart for manners and all that stuff. She filled it up and her reward and mine was a date with build a bear. Meet Charlie Ann.

We were at a friends Western themed birthday party at a stable. We went shopping and bought both the kids a pair or Wranglers and Gavo a shirt....it says "Im the cowboy your mama warned you about!"

This baby went around and around and around this stable floor. She loves horses. We decided that were are going to let her take riding lessons this summer.

Chucky Cheese

This is Reagan's favorite ride at Chucky Cheese..the horse. She loves it! We go to Chucky Cheese every so often. She loves it....she smiles and loves every minute at that place.

Gavin is writing a car that has no money in it....I love the days when they do not understand that money does not make it go but their imagination. Super sweet!

Eric had a week off a couple of weeks ago and we decided to take a trip to his parents house in Baton Rouge with a stop in West Monroe. I do not think about Mardi Gras until the week of of after it is gone. Its a big deal in that part of the world. People take days off to go and celebrate...what I have no idea..plastic beads? Anyway, here are some pictures of a parade the kiddos went to. Reagan danced and did everything that she could to get beads...she better never go to the New Orleans Mardi Gras!!!

Grandma's Christmas

Christmas Day....I always lay Gavo on the couch to take his afternoon nap. Most days Reagan will lay with me and watch t.v. and rest. Well Christmas Day is just so tiring with all the playing and eating and laughing. Like always I layed Gavin down and then Reagan climbed onto the couch by herself and layed down and they were out for 2 hours.

Reagan loves the books and Christmas CD she got. I have to admit that no matter what she got from anyone she said after looking at each gift she said....that is what I always wanted.

Reagan's Showoffs

On the last dance class before Christmas break, Reagan's dance studio does a "showoff" where they allow the parents and family members come in the dancers show thier families what they have learned so far. Since I am teaching a class at her dance time, her daddy had to take pictures for me. It will one day break my heart when she decides she would rather play soccer than dance.

My friend Tara introduced me to Stampin Up! Oh wow...Susan you were right I have a new obsession. I love scrapbooking and now I am in love with Stampin. I wanted to do a Christmas ornament for my 3 year old dancing class to celebrate thier first year in dance. So April helped me get started. Thanks April! Such good ideas!!!!

Polar Express Train Ride

We took the kids to the Texas State Road to ride the train. The train will host various events, like Thomas the Train and other things. This one was the "Polar Express" from the book by Chris Van Allsburg and the movie with Tom Hanks. We got on in Palestine and we rode to the "North Pole" to pick up Santa. On the way there were chefs dressed up and singing and dancing and handing out hot chocolate and rice crispies. They were showing pictures of the book while someone read it over the loud speaker. The kids wore thier p.j.s
Santa is picked up and hands bells out to all the kids! Reagan was the first bell of the night.

This year we had a great Thanksgiving with our families as well as our 1st annual friends Thanksgiving. Our friend Justin suggested we should have a Thanksgiving and include our friends/family...which we have become. I volunteered to have it at my house and everyone would bring a portion of the feast. We spend the time eating and visiting and playing Wii. We had a blast and we will do it again next year. Love you guys!

One of Reagan's favorite shows is Jon and Kate plus 8. She was watching a show where the family went to Disney World. She has ever since been asking to go. Well we saw that Disney's on Ice was coming to Houston so we asked Paw Paw and he was able to get us tickets. Thanks Paw Paw!!! She had a blast.

Pebbles and Bam-Bam!

As most of you know me and my weirdness. I pretty much know what our kids will be for Halloween for the next year before the Halloween night is over. I knew that Reagan and Gavin would be Pebbles and Bam-Bam when Gavin was 2 weeks old last year. I'm lucky that I can tell Reagan she is going to be this and she says okay. So far, she did already ask to be Hannah Montana next year. I said we will see....but everyone knows that they will be cute. Stay tuned to next year.

Stampin Up!

My friend Susan showed me something that she did with stamps about 2 years ago. I told her that I wanted to try to do that but I did not have any stamps. Well maybe 6 months ago my friend Tara invited me to a stampin up demonstration and I am so hooked. I loved so many things and the ideas are amazing. We have a tradition in our house that whatever Theme the baby shower is that the baby's 1st birthday would be that. So at my first stampin up experience I saw this idea in the catalog. I hope everyone liked it.

Reagan's 4th Birthday!

Each year Eric and I have a themed birthday for Reagan and we will for Gavin. This year Reagan's theme was a carnival. I decided to have stations....with a lot of help from great friends and family. We had face painting, toss the can, bowling, a jump house, and go fish. She had the best time. I love watching her open something and with each gift it is the best things ever!!!

Dora Bike!

She has a bike a her grandmothers house but she wanted a bike at her house so everytime we went to Wal-Mart. She said, "mommy I want a Dora bike, and the next time she would say I want a Barbie bike, then the next time she would say Hannah Montana! We thought it was best to get whatever they had that day and Dora won. Her Pawpaw bought her that.
She also got a bunk bed....oh you have to use her words....a bed with a ladder and a little bed on bottom!

A friend of ours who teaches where Reagan takes. Thank goodness for great friends. Hayle is another one of our friends that you hear about alot. She did her hair and make-up for the big day.

Reagan's 1st Recital- Let's Go Shopping

Reagan had her first recital on April 26, 2008. She took dance at Dance-N-Drill where two of our really good friends teach, Tara and Hayle. Reagan was a powderpuff. She was so cute and so excited. Here are some pictures of her and her family and friends celebreating her big day.

Flowers from MiMi and Grandad!

Mimi and grandad sent flowers to Reagan for the recital. They were delivered to her house by a florist. It took several days of convinicing that the flowers were given to her from her mimi and grandad and NOT the florist.

The Map

The Easter Bunny left a map of where Reagan could find the eggs that he and hidden for her. Pop Bob and Reagan are studying the map to decide on the best place to begin.

Precious Angels

The kids on Easter Sunday. Eric and I cannot believe that Reagan will be four in August and then she will have to start school next year. Not only that but Gavin is 5 months and it will go by just as fast.

Gavin loves watching his big sis. Gavin will follow her with his eyes and giggle at any little thing that Reagan does. He is watching her find all the eggs. He cannot wait to be able to chase after her.

Gavin Eating Cereal!

Gavin is 5 months old now and he has been eating cereal for about a months. He took alot longer than Reagan did when it came to wanting to eat something other than milk....but he is slowly getting his appetite. Meme is feeding him his breakfast.

Eric and I took the kids to Grandma Powell during Spring Break. We had a really good time visiting. Grandma Powell loves to spoil her grand kids and great grand kids. We hunted Easter Eggs in the house because it was a chilly day.

Reagan's stitches!!!!

Oh my goodness Reagan had to get 3 stictches! Two weeks ago Reagan was cytting up apples at Mawmaws all day. When we got home that afternoon I was getting Gavin out of the car and she wanted an apple. I told her to wait but if you know how independant my three year old is...she could not wait for help. She grabbed an apple as well as a BUTTER KNIFE!!!! and she slashed her pointer finger on her left hand and for her trouble got 3 very pretty blue glitter stitches.

Go Gavo!!!
On the day we took several 3 months picture he is playing baseball. He will one day be on the Astro's baseball team. We have started training early.
Gavin is 3 months old!

Gavin is getting sp big! We cannot believe it has already been 3 months. This is what he is up to. He recognizes familiar faces and smiles when they come into the room. He also has begun eating cereal after his morning bottles. He goes to the doctors for his 4 month check-up to discuss other foods he will be starting on.

Reagan's Christmas!

Reagan Marie had a great Christmas. She got a Dora scooter and she loves it. She also got a mini trampoline, a cabbage patch doctor set, and several games. She also got Christmas pjs.

First Sunday at Church!
Gavin went to the doctor for his 2 month check-up. He is a very healthy and happy boy. So healthy that the doctor says he is in the 95% on both height and weight. His height is 24 and 1/2 and his weight is 15 pounds and 6 ounces. He got his first set of shots so he is already to go out into the word. Here are the kiddos ready for church. Gavin is 2 months old! Gavin is 8 weeks old and this happens to be the first time we have him smiling on camera. Also, I say that on December 17, 2007 he saw me and smiled. I may be exaggerating a little but I am allowed.

Reagan's Winter Recital
December 18, 2007 Reagan is taking dance this year for the first time and she is the cutest one out there...again I am exaggerating. This past Tuesday the parents were invited into the class for the girls to show us what they have been working on. She was super cute!!!! Her favorite is TAP!!!

I was lucky to get his one month picture of him sitting in his swing awake and looking around. I say that it is lucky I got that one awake picture because Gavin's favorite thing to do is to sleep...the complete opposite of big sister Reagan. Sometimes it seems he does not even wake up to eat.
